VA Educational Benefits Eligibility

The SBWI Career Programs are available to veterans through GI Bill® and Veteran Readiness and Employment® (VR&E/VocRehab).

4-step process.

  1. Apply to SBWI Wood Desing:Furniture Making program and complete the requirements.

  2. If accepted to the program SBWI will send you an acceptance letter

  3. Apply to VA to activate your benefits.

Wood Design:Furniture Making

This 40 week program allows you to gain much experience with different power tools, machinery, equipment, and hand tools.


Your education will focus on fine woodworking with different specializations that allow you to gain experience by building several different furniture pieces. Learning format is an equal mix of classroom and practical application.

This program gives students upon graduation the experience necessary to join the woodworking industry career field, start your own business, or continue your education.
